Top Navigation and Maps Apps in Colombia: Q4 2024 Analysis

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the navigation and maps app category in Colombia saw varied performance across the top five applications. Waze Navigation & Live Traffic, Google Maps Go, Camera Location: Geotag Photos, Google Earth, and Transiteca each demonstrated unique trends in downloads and active users.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained strong weekly download numbers, starting at around 57.6K and peaking at 68.8K by the end of December. Active users showed a consistent presence with a peak of over 5M in mid-December.

Google Maps Go experienced steady download figures, fluctuating between 24K and 29K weekly throughout the quarter. Its active user base was robust, consistently exceeding 16M, and peaking at over 17M in early December.

Camera Location: Geotag Photos showed a notable spike in downloads early in the quarter, reaching over 34K, before stabilizing around 9K by the end of December. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at nearly 18K in late December.

Google Earth saw a decline in downloads, starting at 11.9K and ending with about 8.2K. However, active users increased steadily, reaching 161K by the end of the quarter.

Finally, Transiteca experienced varied download trends, with numbers peaking at 9.5K in late November. Active users showed a strong upward trend, growing from 20K to nearly 36K by early December.
